Nancy Bauer is Dean of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Professor of Philosophy at Tufts University. She specializes in feminist philosophy, metaphilosophy, philosophy of language, and philosophy of film, with a special interest in the role that philosophy plays in everyday human life. She is the author of the books How to Do Things With Pornography (Harvard University Press, 2015) and Simone de Beauvoir, Philosophy, and Feminism (Columbia University Press, 2001) and is never without her knitting.
