After receiving a PhD in History from the University of La Sorbonne in 2018, Liv Grjebine is doing a Postdoctoral Fellowship in History of Science at Harvard University. She is also an Associate Researcher at the Institut d’Histoire Moderne et Contemporaine (CNRS, ENS, Université Panthéon-Sorbonne). Her areas of specialization center on the history of science in 19th century France, the process of legitimization of scientific theories and the popular reception of science. Her research aims at elucidating the communications between society and the scientific world in the dissemination of a scientific theory.
